My crochet valentine free pattern has arrived!
I know that there are a few weeks to go but if you want to make something special and handmade then you need to get organised. Now that January has truly arrived too its nice to have something fresh to work on so here is a little free pattern and photo tutorial to get your creativity going!
This little crochet valentine pattern has been inspired by my airmail love letter envelope project, except this one is much smaller, and actually is an envelope rather than an envelope front! Far more useful for actually sending a love note!
It’s a pretty simple pattern using just single crochet and the slightly trickier fair isle crochet technique for the edging. But I think that a confident beginner could have a go at this and produce something really lovely. It’s pretty forgiving as all the back bits are hidden so you don’t have to worry about being super neat and tidy – always a bonus in my book!
I hope that the simplicity will provide enough scope for people to get really creative. There are all sorts of things you could do with the design including adapting the decoration and embroidery. Have fun and personalize it to the one you love this Valentine’s Day!
If you make something from this pattern I would love to see it! Please send any photos to email@example.com. You might also be interested to check out some of my other free patterns
So, happy Valentine’s Day – only 40 odd days to get crocheting and creating!
