Bridal headband part 2

A few weeks ago I was asked if I could make a crochet bridal headband from an image that someone had found on Pinterest.

I jumped at the chance to get involved in such an exciting project and after lots of research identified the pattern and a suitable crochet thread and got the wheels in motion to create a wedding headband. And I am so very proud to be able to say ‘ta-dah’ because the result is the photo above!

I am so unbelievably proud of it! The assembly was quite tricky but I think worth it. Each pearl bead is individually hand sewn onto the crochet flower and the center of the flower is made 3D by mounting the pearls on bugle beads to make them stand up.

Each bead is attached using very fine, treated beading thread until the outer ‘leaves’ are all edged with seed pearls and the center flower is assembled.

I have already started on the second headband and I plan to amend the pattern slightly and produce one in some different colors.

I adore the recent trend for vintage style at weddings and I have a Pinterest board with some gorgeous themed inspiration including this beautiful crochet bolero…

And of course, my daisy and rose headbands look beautiful on bridesmaids and flower girls and I can create ‘Just Married’ bunting or even Mr & Mrs bunting!

Gorgeous vintage themed wedding inspiration!
