Crochet Christmas Stocking pattern for really little presents!
These super cute Christmas stockings are a crochet pattern from the new Ruby & Custard book (did I mention the book? It’s available to pre-order on Amazon you know? Out on 21st January but available to order right now…) They are little stockings and perfect for filling with a few little sweets (think Quality Street size) and hanging on the tree.
They would also make a lovely additional decoration as part of a wrapped gift. They are super cute and can be worked up really quickly in DK yarn with a 4mm hook.
For the crochet Christmas stocking pattern samples I made for the book, I used a mix of cream and red yarn (Rowan Handknit Cotton DK). The plain stockings have a contrast toe and heel and I also made some stripey crochet stockings as well. Each finished them off with some fluffy Sirdar Snowflake yarn at the top!
They would look great in any number of colourways depending on your mood and colour theme at Christmas (please tell me I am not the only person with a set colour theme for Christmas? I get twitchy if something doesn’t ‘go’ 🙂
We are almost ready to hang up the big stockings at Ruby & Custard towers. All the presents have been made or bought, wrapped up (in wrapping paper in the correct colour theme natch), the house is decorated and the two small people’s excitement is almost at fever pitch! Let’s just hope that my good behaviour pays off and Father Christmas comes to visit me this year too!
I hope you are ready for a very lovely crochet Christmas and a hook and yarn filled New Year!

(I promise to stop wittering on about the book soon, I’m just a tad excited right now!)
