Crochet Easter egg decoration – The snow may be back but my lovely Easter tree is providing some much needed colour in my house!
My pattern for a crochet Easter egg decoration is one of my favourites, it’s quick to make and the little eggs look lovely hanging on the tree I bought in Hobbycraft last year. Last year all of the eggs I made were in pastel shades but for this year I have made some rainbow coloured eggs to really bring a pop of colour to the house during the continuing grey days!
The pattern costs just £1 and can be downloaded as a pdf here. It is sized to fit a standard plastic or polystyrene egg (the same size as a medium hen’s egg!) and these can be bought very cheaply in craft shops or online at places such as Amazon – I bought mine in a pound shop!
I had just finished the Circus of Love cushion pattern which used lots beautiful bright colours from the Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK range and I had some left over so I was inspired to make these lovely rainbow eggs! I think they are really fun and bring a bit of a jolly feel to my tree while being a great way to use up left over yarn from other projects 🙂
Crochet Easter decoration bauble
I also found a spare Christmas bauble form in my crochet bag and decided to make a Spring inspired crochet bauble! A perfect addition to my Easter tree I think! You can download the bauble pattern here.
