Crochet Easter Eggs

Crochet Easter eggs pattern! And even better it is completely free of charge and 100% calorie-free!

I love this time of year, all the spring flowers are brightening up the place and the shops are full of beautiful pastel shades, so nice to see after the grey winter.

Easter seems to be becoming a bigger affair every year and this year, inspired by beautiful Pinterest images I decided to invest in an ‘Easter tree’ – I got mine from Hobbycraft! I already had some small egg decorations but to celebrate my new tree I designed a pattern for some crochet Easter eggs!

It’s a really simple pattern using plastic egg forms which are widely available (I got mine from Poundland for £1 for a pack of 5 but I have seen them for sale in lots of other places). They are really quick to make up and lots of fun!

I had some beautiful Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK left over from some other projects, and the colours were perfect for creating wonderful striped and patterned crochet Easter eggs in sorbet colours.  I used Duck Egg blue (436), Daffodil Yellow (422), Ballet Pink (453), Bubblegum Pink (451), Washed Teal (433) and Vintage Pink (456) on a 3.5mm hook.  Even better news is that they have 20% off all Paintbox Yarns at the moment over on www.LoveCrochet.com 🙂
