Crocheting in the sunshine

There is nothing in life better than crocheting in the sunshine! I have just spent a glorious 2 week holiday in Spain visiting family and friends and of course crocheting!

During my holiday I created:

  • 5 pink owl hats, faces yet to be attached
  • A cover for a bolster cushion – particularly impressive as this cushion has been in my house without a cover for 3 years. But, I ran out of yarn before I could make the ends of the cushion
  • A cushion cover front to sit on my daughter’s new ‘big bed’
  • The top part of a little Summer dress for my goddaughter
  • A bag full of mistletoe and holly leaves ready for a couple of Christmas project; and
  • Stars and pennants for a new mini-bunting design

Unbelievably I didn’t finish any of these projects! It’s not intentional but it seems that everything I was making required either additional kit (fabric or a sewing machine) or I ran out of the yarn I needed. Poor packing on my behalf! Oh well, I shall happily carry on now I’m home and finish everything off 🙂

I also stocked up on more yarn while I was in Spain – lots of very fine cotton in lovely colors. I can’t wait to get creative with it!
