Crochet Dinosaur bunting

The wrong dinosaur bunting!

For every personalized order I receive I create a mood board for the customer to approve before I start work on anything.  I believe it helps ensure that the recipient gets exactly what they want and it ensures I don’t make any costly mistakes – both in time and in materials.

Thinking about this, I was reminded about a mistake that was (fortunately) spotted in time with some dinosaur bunting.

I was asked to design some dinosaur bunting to match a little boy’s bedroom scheme based around some dinosaur fabric curtains bought from John Lewis. At the time of the order I was asked to match the design to curtains listed on the John Lewis website. And, having received the brief I went away, found the fabric, and created a lovely design for the crochet name bunting.

But…John Lewis supply two types of curtain in dinosaur fabric and I had found the wrong one! I should have been using a range called ‘Jolly Jurassic’ by Harlequin…!

Fortunately because I always create a mood board, and get designs confirmed before creating anything, I was able to create some lovely dinosaur bunting for Aiden to match the right fabric…..

…..and boy, would I have cried if I had done all that work and it had been wrong!

Like this dinosaur bunting, each crochet name bunting project is made by hand, by me to order so you can choose any color or combination of colors and design. If you’ve got something in mind or an idea get in touch at millie@rubyandcustard.com; I love a challenge!  If you fancy some inspiration, I have a gallery on Pinterest of some of the commissions I have done for crochet name bunting. Let your imagination go!

Hi I wondered if you would be able to crochet any dinosaur toys/ cushions to match the dinotastic fabric from john lewis? I have the curtains but they have stopped doing the cushions? If so how much would they cost (preferably the green dinosaur with orange triangles on and the orange dinosaur with green spots)?
    Thank you
    Louise
