As promised, I have finally written the crochet bird pattern!
This free pattern will (hopefully) enable you to produce your very own little crochet birds. Each little bird has button eyes, delicate wings and can be hung by a length of pretty ribbon. This pattern shows the birds in colored stripes but they would look just as lovely in one color, like the cream crochet wedding birds.
I hope the pattern will inspire you to do something really creative with little crochet birds. You could make lots of them and hang them from a twig tree; I did this at Easter and they looked fab!
Or perhaps make a number of them and hang them in a string or interspersed with mini bunting flags? There is masses of bird inspiration out there, including the gorgeous new Cath Kidston garden birds print and of course the wonderful Pinterest.
Hopefully you will be inspired and if you do make something then I would love to see it! Please email and photos to me or if you have a Ravelry account you can add them to the little crochet bird Ravelry project page.
If you don’t fancy making your own little crochet birds but would like some then please contact me on millie@rubyandcustard.com and I will happily make some to order for you!
