One ball crochet cowl – otherwise known as having fun with yarn at home!
I had one ball of beautiful Rowan Big Wool in my stash, in a gorgeous slate grey (shade 007 Smokey), so I set myself the task of writing a simple pattern to create a scarf. And the one ball crochet cowl was why happened!
With the arrival of the cold weather here I have been wearing scarves and cowls a lot; they are a great way to keep the chill off and of course fun to make!
I’m really pleased with my one ball crochet cowl because it can be worn 2 ways depending on my mood! I can wear it folded on itself like a warm, chunky and ever so funky necklace….
or, it can be worn as more of a scarf, which makes it the warmer option! Super stylish and versatile and all from one ball, even better it was super quick to work up! Whoop!
One ball crochet cowl pattern
The one ball crochet cowl might be written up properly (I am playing with the stitch count at the moment) either for the website or for a rather exciting project I am getting involved with teaching crochet in classes in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, UK. More about that later, for now it is watch this space!
If it is cold where you are I hope you are keeping cosy and crocheting something weather appropriate!
