Paris crochet inspiration!
I’ve just returned from a wonderful city break in Paris and I have returned with lots of crochet inspiration for some French inspired designs!
Pastel heaven at Laduree
We visited the French institution of Laduree on the Champs Elysee – an incredible building worth a visit just to admire the stunning interior but of course having got there it would have been rude not to enjoy some of their famous macaron. This photo was taken by one of my travel buddies – she is only 12 but a very talented photographer I think!
The colors are just divine as the flavors (rose petal, lemon, orange blossom and salted caramel in case you are wondering!), Laduree is a heady mix of pistachio green and gold with pops of lavender, rose and lemon…pastel heaven! I’m utterly inspired to get out the shades of yarn that are good enough to eat!
Paris crochet skyline?
The skyline of Paris is just as iconic as the London vista that is so familiar to me. The Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Sacre Coeur, the Seine, Arc du Triomphe….
Maybe it’s about time I did a Paris version of my crochet London skyline cushion? There would be plenty of choice…hmm..definitely an idea to store for the future!
Paris crochet street art inspiration?
Paris is known for it’s amazing art – whether officially on sale in the beautiful galleries, the squares of Montmartre or in the form of art of walls (it seems harsh to call it graffiti!), it seems as though there is amazing art on almost every street corner!
These balloons with 3D faces are a bit creepy but very clever!
These bodies are made of paper but seem to be hiding under the foliage!
And this quote just made me laugh! Do you think crochet is ready for a graffiti style inspiration?
Let me know what you think as always! 🙂
