I bought some beautiful handmade crochet baby shoes while I was on holiday in Spain earlier this year.
They were in the window of a traditional home wares shop a couple of doors down from the wonderful Retahila (definitely worth a visit if you are ever in Fuengirola, near Malaga in Spain) and I loved them so much I bought 2 pairs – one in white and one in blue. Aren’t they gorgeous? The detail is wonderful – the blue pair are little sandals which fasten at the ankle with a tiny button and the white pair are little pull on slippers.
Each pair was in a little presentation box and the shoes are even displayed on little foot forms to keep their shape. So cute!!!
They are made by a Spanish company called Calcetines Carlomagno who specialize in making beautiful socks and also handmade baby shoes! Their website doesn’t give any details of where you can buy their products online unfortunately – if anyone know of an online stockist please do let me know.
There are lots of beautiful patterns for crochet baby shoes if you would like to make your own on Ravelry and Etsy. And lots of people sell crochet baby shoes. One of my favorites are these lovely little shoes by Linden French and they are just £8 for a pair!
